Guru Search, Inc. ("Guru", "we", "our") operates the Guru SEO platform at seoguru.ai and app.seoguru.ai. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website and platform.
Account information. When you create an account or complete the onboarding form, we collect your name, email address, company name, website URL, and billing information.
Platform usage data. We log actions taken within the platform — approvals, content submissions, settings changes — to maintain audit trails and power the activity feed. This data is tied to your account and is never sold.
Google integrations. When you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we access the data you authorize via OAuth. We read GSC and GA4 data to surface insights within the platform. We do not store raw GSC/GA4 data beyond what is necessary to display your reports.
Website analytics. Our marketing site (seoguru.ai) uses basic analytics to understand page traffic. We do not use cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your site's content or SEO data to train AI models.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, your data is retained for 90 days and then deleted, except where retention is required by law. You can request immediate deletion by contacting us.
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. We use HMAC-signed session tokens with 7-day expiry and support password-based authentication with scrypt hashing.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the platform. We will respond within 30 days.
We use session cookies to maintain your login state. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in to the platform.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to account holders. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
